Los Angeles didn’t just attend prom — it survived it.

To celebrate the release of Fear Street: Prom Queen, Netflix transformed the historic Fonda Theatre into the terrifying halls of Shadyside High. Inspired by Fear Street: Prom Queen, the immersive pop-up transported guests straight into 1988 with eerie locker corridors, a retro prom gym, and live scare actors lurking in the shadows.

The experience blurred the line between film set and nightmare. Attendees posed for photos under blood-red lighting, danced beneath a disco ball, and nervously laughed as masked figures stalked the crowd. Cast members including India Fowler and David Iacono made appearances, turning the activation into a horror fan dream.

For one weekend, LA wasn’t just hosting a movie promo — it was living inside one.

Oh and a guy with no guts sent me on a quest lol
