It wasn’t your typical industry music preview — when Kesha hosted her LA listening party, compassion took center stage. The exclusive event gave fans an early preview of tracks from her album Period., which officially dropped July 4. But this wasn’t just a music preview — it doubled as a celebration of pet adoption and accessible veterinary care.
The event partnered with Spot Pet Insurance, launching a nationwide campaign focused on supporting shelters and educating pet owners about healthcare coverage. Guests mingled with adoptable dogs while listening to unreleased songs, blending advocacy with artistry in a way that felt authentically Kesha.
A major highlight of the campaign included the Tails Out Shelter Contest, encouraging fans to vote for their favorite shelters, with donations tied to participation. Proceeds from limited-edition merchandise also benefited The Magic Mission, a nonprofit founded by Kesha’s mother dedicated to ending pet homelessness.
By combining new music with meaningful impact, Kesha turned a typical industry listening party into something bigger — a celebration of compassion, community, and creativity that set the tone for both her album release and a summer of giving back.
