Some corners mean more than traffic—they mean legacy. On February 28, 2026, Los Angeles officially dedicated the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue as Nipsey Hussle Square, honoring the late rapper, entrepreneur, and South LA hometown hero. Hundreds gathered for the ceremony near The Marathon area, celebrating a man whose impact reached far beyond music. For many fans, this was more than a street sign—it was the city giving Nipsey his flowers, right where his story helped inspire a movement. The new sign signified pride, grief, and love. A reminder that the Marathon Continues.

As the celebration began to wind down, I found myself standing next to Big Bob — a man who played an important role in the life of Nipsey Hussle. Even today, he remains a deeply respected figure within the Hussle family and the community that helped shape Nipsey’s journey.

Street sign reading Nipsey Hussle Square with dates and quote "The highest human act is to inspire," set against a clear blue sky.

It was truly an honor to see this in person. If you’re visiting Nipsey Hussle Square, I highly recommend going during the day and stopping by his store next to the gas station—it’s a powerful place that really connects you to the history of the area.
